SHOULD YOU SWITCH TO A PORTABLE VAPORIZER?

TOP 5 REASONS TO SWITCH TO PORTABLE VAPORIZERS

Vaporizer pens may continue to reign supreme over portable vapes. True enough; the pen’s simpler design makes it the first choice when vaping outdoors. But there just seems to be better reasons why portable vaporizers are a more practical choice for you. Here’s why:

#1 THEY’RE MORE EXPENSIVE THAN VAP PENS

(For a Damn Good Reason)

Portable vapes come with higher price tags for a reason: They just pack the most advanced features you can hardly find in vape pens. We really can’t blame the makers for the limitations. Unless new technologies come, the compact space in vape pens will always call for simple components. For one, the exposed heating coil, although conveniently used in many pens, result in combustion.

Compare that with portable vaporizers. Their larger size allows more electronic components that can control everything — from temperature to internal fans to LCD displays. These make portables pricier, but imagine the better vaping experience you get with one of these models and they’re definitely worth the buy.

#2 PORTABLE VAPORIZERS JUST KEEP GOING

Think about larger batteries. Yes, because portable vaporizers are a tad larger than vape pens, there is theoretically no limit as to how large a battery can be. Perhaps, it’s the goal of creating a lightweight and discreet vape that limits the makers in creating larger batteries for longer vaping sessions.

At any rate, that didn’t stop some companies from experimenting with other power sources. For example, the Iolite Wispr 2 comes in a butane-powered heating element. That means as long as you have a butane tank handy with you, you’ll never run out of juice.

#3 THEY’RE THE DESIGNER DEVICES IN THE VAPING WORLD

From the wooden-box type of the Magic Flight Launch Box to the asthma-inhaler design of the Puffit 2 Vaporizer, portables just come in so many shapes, colors and sizes. Manufacturers freely modify their design according to what’s popular, functional or unique. How about the “walkie-talkie” DaVinci vaporizer? Or the similar Iolite Wispr 2?

But no matter the design of your portable vape, what’s far important is the build and vapor quality. And even in this aspect, these models do compete well in the market. And some of them have unique features too. For example, the Arizer Solo vaporizer comes with an extra part — the glass bowl — that you can replace the glass stem with just in case you wish to diffuse those aromas from your potpourri. In other words, not only are portable vapes more functional and versatile, they’re really more trendy and well-designed too.

#4 FINDING YOUR SWEET SPOT IS EASIER

Portable vaporizers are far superior to vape pens when it comes to heat adjustment. Because of the larger size of portable models, there is plenty of room for electronics that control your heating element. From the safety feature to precise temperature controls, these features are usually present in the larger portable models.

While heat settings may be on feature these portables boast, different models offer different styles. For example, while the Arizer Solo offers five preset heat levels, the DaVInci Ascent can be set to a precise level of on degree. This way, it would be easier to find that temperature you prefer. But ironically, although this may be the case, we find slightly better vapor quality of the Arizer Solo over the Ascent. In other words, it’s the overall quality of the portable vape that matters.

#5 PORTABLES CAN BE MORE DISCREET

(By Design)

Vaporizer pens may be the most discreet models because they simply copy the form and style of the most mundane office pen. But who says portable vapes can’t be discreet too? Yes, they may be large, but companies have found tricky ways to make them look as discreet as possible.

A vaporizer that looks exactly like an asthma inhaler? Yes we have it. At first glance, the Puffit 2 vaporizer looks more like an inhaler than a vaporizer. But take off the cap and it reveals the mouthpiece at the bottom. Or, how about the DaVinci vaporizer for a walkie-talkie look and feel? So, portable vape can mimic everyday objects to make them less attention grabbing.

THE BOTTOM LINE

Portable vaporizers may be a tad bigger, pricier and more complex than vape pens. But when you think about all the good qualities and the better vaping experience you’d get from these portables, the benefits surely far outweigh the costs. So, join the bandwagon, get your first portable vape and share your experience with us.
